Alpine Dub Re Dub

Alpine Dub Re Dub is essentially the versions album, released one year after Alpine Dub. I returned to the desk and effects at Studio 2 (R.I.P.) with Christian Peruzzetto, and together we dubbed and remixed the original tracks live. The final edits were minimal or, in some cases, left untouched. These tracks are snapshots of that session from 2016. The session was also filmed and later edited into a short documentary by Pascal Greuter.

We’ve had Dubokaj here before. Last time he was waxing his crazy Alpine Dub gospel and making links between Dub music and Swiss yodelling. He also hit us with a swampy, smokey and echoed out mixtape – the things was thick as hell and warped – yet as far as we know the brother doesn’t blaze. Today we got word that he’ll be dropping a re-dub record, which basically means that he’s going even deeper – this time dubbing that Dub. This LP will be called Alpine Dub Re Dub and will drop this Friday courtesy of Mouthwatering Records, that Swiss nugget of a label. Call your local weed suppliers today, get a stack of papers and take a day off on Friday.
